Product Description
Industrial - grade Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate Flakes is an important industrial raw material. It appears in flake - like crystalline form and is usually white or off - white in color, and may be slightly yellow due to a small amount of impurities. Its chemical formula is MgCl2.6H2O.
It has a bitter taste and is easily soluble in water. It undergoes a hydrolysis reaction in water, making the solution weakly acidic. It is deliquescent in humid air because of its strong water absorption. Its melting point is 116 - 118°C and the relative density is about 1.56.

Application
In the field of building materials, it is a key raw material for producing magnesite products (such as magnesite cement, magnesite board, etc.). It reacts with magnesium oxide to form a hardened cementitious substance, endowing magnesite products with good strength, water resistance and other properties, and can be used in building partitions, decorative materials and other aspects.
In terms of snow-melting agents, since it can lower the freezing point of water, it can be used for snow removal and ice melting on winter roads. Compared with sodium chloride snow-melting agents, it has relatively less corrosiveness to roads and metal facilities.
