Application
Used in the paper sizing process, it can interact with components such as cellulose in paper to improve the water resistance of paper. At the same time, sodium tripolyphosphate can also enhance the strength of paper, making it less likely to be damaged during printing, writing and other processes and improving the quality of paper.
In industrial circulating cooling water systems, sodium tripolyphosphate is widely used to prevent the formation of scale. Calcium, magnesium and other ions in water are prone to form scale such as calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide under conditions such as heating, and attach to the surface of pipelines and equipment, affecting heat exchange efficiency and may even lead to pipeline blockage. Sodium tripolyphosphate prevents the formation of scale by chelating these metal ions, thereby prolonging the service life of equipment and improving the operating efficiency of the system.
As a deflocculant for ceramic slurry, sodium tripolyphosphate can improve the fluidity of the slurry. The fluidity of ceramic slurry is crucial for the ceramic forming process. Good fluidity helps in the uniform formation of ceramic green bodies, reduces defects, and increases the yield of ceramic products.
