Physical and Chemical Properties: It has extremely strong hygroscopicity and is easily deliquescent when exposed to air. It is easily soluble in water, and a large amount of heat is released during dissolution, and its aqueous solution is slightly acidic.
Production Process: Generally, it is prepared by reacting limestone powder to form an acidic calcium chloride solution, followed by a series of processes such as impurity removal, pH adjustment, filtration, evaporation crystallization, and drying dehydration to obtain calcium chloride dihydrate.
