Product Description
Aluminum sulfate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Al2(SO4)3, usually in the form of white, odorless crystals or powder. It is highly soluble in water and its aqueous solution is acidic. It will decompose when heated, and hydrolysis can produce aluminium hydroxide precipitate. The commonly used ones in industry are hexadecahydrate and octadecahydrate aluminium sulfate.

Application
Water treatment: Used as a flocculant to purify drinking water and industrial wastewater, and remove suspended solids.
Papermaking: Sizing enhances water resistance, improves filler retention rate and paper uniformity.
Textile printing and dyeing: Mordants enhance the binding force between dyes and fibers as well as the dyeing effect.
Chemical engineering/Medicine: Producing catalysts, aluminum salts, etc. In medicine, it is used for antiperspirant or astringent purposes.
Others: Improving acidic soil, assisting in leather tanning, raw materials for foam fire extinguishing agents.
