Product Details | Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, whose chemical formula is MgSO4.7H2O, presents a white or colorless needle - like or oblique columnar crystalline form and has no smell. Upon heat - induced decomposition, it progressively sheds its crystalline water and is converted into anhydrous magnesium sulfate. It is principally applied in the production of fertilizers, leather processing, printing and dyeing operations, catalyst manufacturing, paper production, plastics, ceramics, pigments, matches, explosives, and fireproof materials. It can be utilized in the printing and dyeing of thin cotton textiles and silk, functioning as a weighting agent for cotton fibers and a filler for kapok items. In the medical field, it serves as a purgative salt. |
