1. Main content: Sodium sulfite content is usually required to be ≥ 98%, with high purity to ensure its effective role in food processing, and low impurity content, meeting food safety standards.
2. Iron content: It is generally stipulated that the iron (Fe) content is ≤ 0.005%. Low iron content should avoid adverse effects on food color, flavor, etc., ensuring the quality of food.
3. Heavy metal content: The content of heavy metals such as lead (Pb), (As), etc. is strictly controlled at extremely low levels. For example, lead content is usually ≤ 0.001%, which meets the strict heavy metal limit requirements of food grade additives and ensures food safety.
4. Water insoluble content: The mass fraction of water insoluble content is generally ≤ 0.02%. A low water insoluble content ensures the solubility and uniformity of the product during food processing, preventing sedimentation and other factors that may affect food quality.
5. Free alkali content: Calculated as sodium carbonate, the mass fraction of free alkali is generally ≤ 0.10%. An appropriate free alkali content helps maintain the chemical stability of the product and avoid significant impact on the acidity and alkalinity of food due to strong alkalinity.
