It is commonly known as brine flakes, brine granules, brine powder, etc. For example, in some industrial productions, hexahydrate magnesium chloride appears in the form of large flake crystals. These crystals have a smooth surface and distinct edges. After grinding, they become powdery, with fine powder and good flowability.

 • Flavoring agent: Hexahydrate magnesium chloride can be used in combination with other food additives such as magnesium sulfate, table salt, calcium phosphate, and calcium sulfate as a flavoring agent to improve the taste and flavor of food, making it more delicious.
• Texture improver: When used in conjunction with polyphosphates, hexahydrate magnesium chloride can act as an elasticity enhancer for fish and shrimp paste products, improving the texture of the food, giving it better elasticity and taste. However, due to its strong bitter taste, the usual dosage is small, generally less than 0.1%.

• Dehydrating agent: In the production of foods such as fish cakes, hexahydrate magnesium chloride can be used as a dehydrating agent, with a dosage typically between 0.05% and 0.1%, which helps to remove excess moisture from the food, improving its texture and taste.
