Product Description
Fumed silica is a silica product prepared by gas phase reaction. It is based on SiCl4 as the main raw material. It reacts at high temperatures and in the presence of hydrogen (H2) and oxygean (O2). The reaction form was: SiCl4 + 2H2+ O2= SiO2+4HCl. In the reaction process, SiCl4 is rapidly hydrolyzed in a high temperature flame to produce silica smoke, which passes through a series of fine processes such as aggregation and cooling, and finally forms fumed silica.
