Product Description
It appears as colorless semi - transparent crystals or white granules, odorless, and has a strong sour taste. The melting point is around 78 - 80ºC, and the density is 1.542g/cm³. It has good solubility in water, with a slightly lower solubility in cold water than in hot water. At 100ºC, its solubility in water can reach 86.2%. It can also be dissolved in organic solvents such as ethanol.
