Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate presents as colorless prismatic or needle-shaped crystals. In contrast, the anhydrous form is a white crystalline powder. It has no odor, a bitter and salty taste. It exhibits high solubility in water (119.8% at 20ºC) and glycerin, while being only slightly soluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution of Magnesium Sulphate is neutral.
