Application

1. Casting industry: As a binder used in the production of molding sand and core sand, it can improve the strength, hardness, and breathability of sand molds, make the surface of castings smooth and the size precise, reduce scrap rates, and improve production efficiency and casting quality.
2. Paper industry: Used for paper sizing, it can improve the strength, water resistance, and glossiness of paper, enhance the printing and writing performance of paper, and also serve as a preservative and adhesive in the paper processing.
3. Building materials field: Adding an appropriate amount of sodium silicate to cement can improve its impermeability, water resistance, and strength, and is used to produce special cement such as fast hardening cement and acid resistant cement; In architectural coatings, it can be used as a binder and thickener to enhance the adhesion and durability of the coating; It can also be used to manufacture refractory materials, insulation materials, etc., such as refractory castables made by mixing sodium silicate with refractory aggregates, which have good high temperature resistance.
