Application
Drinking water grade PAC can effectively remove suspended substances in drinking water treatment, such as sediment and rust. After raw water enters the treatment system, PAC will hydrolyze to form aluminum hydroxide colloid. These colloids carry positive charges and can adsorb suspended substances and colloids with negative charges in water. For example, in raw water of rivers or lakes, there are often fine sediment particles and organic colloids. PAC can make these impurities aggregate into larger flocs through charge neutralization and adsorption bridging, which is convenient for removal by sedimentation or filtration.
