Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is an inorganic polymer coagulant widely used in water treatment processes. It appears as a light yellow or reddish-brown liquid or powder and is primarily composed of polymerized iron (Fe³+) ions combined with sulfate groups.
PFS works by destabilizing and aggregating suspended particles, colloids, and dissolved organic matter in water. It is known for its high efficiency in removing turbidity, color, heavy metals, phosphates, and organic pollutants from both industrial and municipal wastewater.
