Appearance: Solid is colorless and transparent glassy particles/powder, and liquid is colorless or slightly colored transparent solution.
Properties: The aqueous solution is alkaline, with adhesiveness, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and can react with acids to form silicic acid precipitates.
Preparation: Quartz sand is melted and reacted with soda ash at high temperature. The solid state needs to be dissolved into liquid for use.
