Description:	Pure sodium bicarbonate is white fine - grained crystals and usually in powder form. Its crystal structure belongs to the monoclinic system. It appears as a fine - grained white solid without a special odor.It has a certain solubility in water. At room temperature, the solubility of sodium bicarbonate is relatively small, and its solubility slightly increases with temperature. For example, at 20ºC, about 9.6 grams of sodium bicarbonate can be dissolved in 100 grams of water; at 60ºC, about 16.4 grams of sodium bicarbonate can be dissolved in 100 grams of water

Application

In the leather - making process, dense soda ash can be used for degreasing. It can saponify the grease in leather, converting the grease into water - soluble substances, thereby removing the grease in leather, making the leather softer and more delicate, and improving the quality and processing performance of leather.

It serves as a water - softening agent. By reacting with calcium and magnesium ions and other substances in water, it is able to decrease the hardness of water. This helps to avoid issues like uneven fabric dyeing and faded colors that might occur due to hard water in the printing and dyeing process, thereby enhancing the quality and color vividness of the printed and dyed products.
