Density: The relative density is 2.32 g/cm ³.
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, solubility shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with temperature. For example, the solubility is 0.233 g/100mL water at 0 ºC, 0.244 g/100mL water at 10 ºC, and 0.265 g/100mL water at 40 ºC. In addition, calcium sulfate dihydrate is soluble in acids, ammonium salts, sodium thiosulfate, and glycerol.
Thermal stability: 1.5 molecules of crystal water are lost at 128 ºC, and all crystal water is lost at 163 ºC
