Physical properties: relative density 1.897, melting point 64ºC, easy to weather in dry air, 56.6ºC into four water salt, 65ºC into a water salt, 300ºC into white powder anhydrous matter, 480ºC began to decompose, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, water solution is light green.

Water treatment field
1)Flocculant: In the sewage treatment, the ferrous hydroxide colloid produced by hydrolysis can adsorb the suspended impurities in the water, make the fine particles in the water condense into a larger floc, accelerate the precipitation, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying the water quality, often used in printing and dyeing, textile, paper and other industries wastewater treatment.
2)Phosphorus removal agent: can react with phosphate in water to generate insoluble iron phosphate precipitation, thereby removing phosphorus in water and preventing eutrophication of water.
3)Reducing agent: When treating wastewater containing chromium, hexavalent chromium can be reduced to trivalent chromium, reducing the toxicity of chromium and facilitating subsequent treatment and removal.
Industrial production
1)Manufacture of iron salts: It is an important raw material for the production of other iron compounds.
