Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene (CSM), also known by the former brand name Hypalon®, is a synthetic rubber polymer derived from polyethylene through chlorosulfonation. This process introduces chlorine and sulfonic acid groups into the polyethylene backbone, enhancing its chemical and physical properties.
