1. Textile and Dyeing Industry
• Bleaching and Deoxygenation Agent: Sodium sulfite is commonly used as a deoxygenating agent in the bleaching process of cotton fabrics. It prevents the partial oxidation of cotton fibers, thereby protecting the strength of the fibers.
