Application
Industrial - grade ferrous sulfate heptahydrate reacts with potassium ferrocyanide to form Prussian blue precipitate. After treatment, it is made into pigments, which are used for coloring inks (such as newspaper printing inks), coatings (such as anti - corrosion coatings) and plastics. These pigments have the characteristics of strong light - resistance and weather - resistance.
Industrial-grade ferrous sulfate plays an important role in water treatment. After it is dissolved in water, the ferrous hydroxide colloid produced by hydrolysis has strong adsorption. For example, when treating natural water or industrial wastewater containing sediment and suspended particles, the ferrous hydroxide colloid can adsorb suspended impurities in the water and make them aggregate and settle, thus achieving the purpose of purifying water quality.
