Description | The crystals are often transparent or translucent and have a shiny luster. It is soluble in water. The density is about 1.68 g/cm³. The melting point is 1124 °C. However, when heated, it first loses its water of crystallization. At around 150 °C, it begins to lose water molecules and gradually transforms into anhydrous magnesium sulfate. |
