Application
Sodium carbonate is alkaline, and its aqueous solution can help remove grease and dirt on the skin surface. When it is dissolved in water, the alkaline environment produced can cause the saponification reaction of grease, decomposing the grease into water - soluble fatty acid salts and glycerol, so that it is easier to be washed away.
