          Magnesium chloride by anhydrous weight is composed of 74.54% chlorineand 25.48% magnesium. However, according to the phase diagram analysis of MgCl2-H2O system, in addition to anhydrous materials, there are hydrates containing 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 crystalline waters, and only about 4 molecules of water can be removed when dehydrated in the air, without serious side reactions.

Application

1. Metallurgical industry:
