Physical and chemical properties
   Appearance: It is usually a light blue or light green monoclinic crystal, with columnar or granular crystals, and the surface often appears rust colored due to oxidation.
   Odor: Odorless, salty and astringent in taste.
   Density: 1.897-1.91g/cm ³
   Melting point: 64 ºC
   Solubility: Easily soluble in water, the solubility in water increases with temperature. At 20 ºC, 26.5 grams of ferrous sulfate heptahydrate can be dissolved in every 100 milliliters of water; At 100 ºC, its solubility can increase to around 50 grams. Insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol.
   Stability: It will gradually weather in dry air and turn into a white powder on the surface. It is easily oxidized in humid air, producing yellow brown basic iron sulfate. When heated to around 70 ºC, some crystal water will be lost and it will turn into white ferrous sulfate monohydrate; Continue heating to around 300 ºC, and the crystal water will be completely lost, turning into anhydrous ferrous sulfate; When the temperature is higher, anhydrous ferrous sulfate will decompose into iron oxide
