Description:The chemical formula of ferrous sulfate is FeSO4. The common hydrate is FeSO4.7H2O, known as green vitriol. In appearance, it is a light - blue - green monoclinic crystal. Application

Used as a mordant in the printing and dyeing industry. It can combine with dye molecules to help dyes better adhere to fabric fibers, enhance the dyeing effect, and make the dyeing more firm and uniform. For example, in the dyeing process of cotton fabrics, immersing cotton fabrics in ferrous sulfate solution first and then dyeing can improve the dye uptake rate and color fastness.
