Product Description
Physical Properties
Appearance: white powder or solid (such as natural marble, limestone), odorless and tasteless, with a delicate feel to the touch.
Poor solubility: insoluble in water, but soluble in dilute acids, and carbon dioxide gas is produced during the reaction (the common "bubbling" phenomenon).
Low hardness (Mohs hardness 3), easy to grind into powders of different fineness (from 80 mesh to more than 2000 mesh, suitable for different scenarios).
Chemical properties
1. It has stable properties and is not prone to chemical reactions at room temperature; when calcined at high temperatures (above approximately 825°C), it decomposes into calcium oxide (quicklime) and carbon dioxide, which is the core principle for the industrial preparation of quicklime.
2. It is weakly alkaline and can neutralize a small amount of acidic substances, so it can be used to adjust the pH value of soil or wastewater.

Calcium Carbonate Application:
Plastic/rubber industry As a filler added to plastics (such as PP, PVC) and rubber products, it can improve the hardness and heat resistance of products, while reducing the amount of resin used and lowering production costs.

Storage Environment
It should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool warehouse. Avoid open-air stacking or placing near doors and windows (to prevent rainwater and moisture intrusion). The relative humidity of the warehouse is recommended to be controlled below 60%.
Keep away from heat sources (such as heating systems, boilers) and fire sources. Although calcium carbonate itself is not flammable, high temperatures may cause packaging damage or powder caking.
